I've never bought from them, but they've got a set of flatware that looks nice.

1. Bought a vacuum from them

Broke in a month and they wouldn't take it back.

2. Did the manufacturer replace it?

Most consumer goods have a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. I have become obsessive about that kind of thing because we've had so many breakages that we can't get repaired easily.

3. I bought a DVD once cause it was the only place I could find it....

nothing to special, but I got double miles for it :D

4. It's the online version of Ross Dress for Less

You can find discounted things that are fairly nice. However, it's really hit or miss. I'd much rather see what I'm buying in person.

It didn't look anything like the picture. They took it back and even had it picked up. No problem.

However, they did give me a full refund. Now I get about 90 pieces of spam from them daily.

8. I bought a beautiful comforter set from them

before Christmas. I used their standard shipping since it said orders would arrive in about 10 business days. This was December 2nd. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive until several days after Christmas. They were moderately helpful...but the bottom line was, the item arrived late. The quality of the item was very good..so I've learned not to order if I have a deadline..or be prepared to pay extra shipping.

it was broken. They took it back, paid the return shipping... I also bought a DVD changer from them a few years ago. It's still working.

Rubbed bronze ones. Very nice and the total shipping was only $5.

They have good deals on sheets and towels from time to time as well.

And they responded to a DU email campaign about advertising on Rush Limbaugh. I believe they quit advertising with PigBoy.

13. bought a set of router bits from them

they weren't a brand i wasn't familiar with, but i only needed them to do one set of cabinet doors. they worked fine, i'll get more than one set of doors and i spent about 25% of comparable sets from other vendors. they shipped early and i got them within 2 days, no extra charge.

14. They were hyping an anti Moore video

Hah! Didn't know they had the "exclusive" rights earlier. That would explain the excess inventory they are trying to dump of this DVD. I had a thread that showed them trying to sell it for a buck less than two weeks ago...

As some posters here stated, a buck is too much for this film. Sounds like that's what the consumers are telling Overstock too. Now they are trying to bundle the "companion book" with it for a buck total! Check out their page today! :rofl:
