Blood on the Tracks
I'm listening to it, haven't in a couple of years. "Forgot about a simple twist of fate." What are you listening to?

4. No
I've had this for years, just forgot about it. "Our conversation was short and sweet, it nearly swept me off of my feet." It's nice to listen to an old favorite.

6. mr zimmerman's best effort, and about america's finest ever
http://www.bobdylan.com/albums/blood.html

I've seen love go by my door
It's never been this close before
Never been so easy or so slow.
Been shooting in the dark too long
When somethin's not right it's wrong
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go.

Dragon clouds so high above
I've only known careless love,
It's always hit me from below.
This time around it's more correct
Right on target, so direct,
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go.

Purple clover, Queen Anne lace,
Crimson hair across your face,
You could make me cry if you don't know.
Can't remember what I was thinkin' of
You might be spoilin' me too much, love,
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go.

Flowers on the hillside, bloomin' crazy,
Crickets talkin' back and forth in rhyme,
Blue river runnin' slow and lazy,
I could stay with you forever
And never realize the time.
you're gonna make me lonesome when you go

Situations have ended sad,
Relationships have all been bad.
Mine've been like Verlaine's and Rimbaud.
But there's no way I can compare
All those scenes to this affair,
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go.

Yer gonna make me wonder what I'm doin',
Stayin' far behind without you.
Yer gonna make me wonder what I'm sayin',
Yer gonna make me give myself a good talkin' to.

I'll look for you in old Honolulu,
San Francisco, Ashtabula,
Yer gonna have to leave me now, I know.
But I'll see you in the sky above,
In the tall grass, in the ones I love,
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go.

actually, i broke up with a beautiful red-headed gal in college who complained when i put the record on in my dorm room, i showed her the door when she said she hated it.

i remember saying to her in a pique of spite and a bit of ugliness..."Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go, but you're an idiot wind."

10. Blonde on Blonde recently
dolo amber has warned me not to leave that CD in the dash with the volume up anymore, as early AM harmonica and jangle are not her friends.

17. great album!!
One of the Dylan masterworks.

Right now, I have 4 Zappa CD' in my player, still commemorating his passing 10 years ago yesterday.

Trivia: Back in 1982, Dylan paid a visit to Zappa's house, to play him a few songs on piano, and possibly scope him out as a producer.

Zappa said they were nice songs, but suggested he might not take Dylan where he wanted to go with it, so Dylan got another producer.

The album became "Infidels". A few years later, Dylan did thank Zappa on some liner notes.

20. now
it's way past EW&F.

I am now listening to Cybdi Lauper - At Last. She does covers of classics/standards.

I was never a big fan, thought she had an ok voice on some songs; but someone around here mentioned this the other day, and it sounded worth a listen.

I'm highly impressed on the first listen. thanks, whoever mentioned this.
