1. I remember when they first came out with word processors
For like a whole week, I was so excited...I just wanted to hurry home every day and play with my Wang.

2. Other: What you see is what you wanted: Pages
Apple fubared the marketing on it, but it's the best word processor I've ever used, starting with Edit back in 1988.

It handles Very Large Documents (I've got one that is closing in on a GB) very easily.

I use TextEdit for little notes and such, but Pages is my workhorse.

4. Old fashioned here:
Pen(cil) and paper for the first draft and first to second edit. After that, last edit with a word processor (doesn't really matter which - I have all in the list - because I tweak it around anyways.)

5. Other
A stone chisel and hammer on granite tablets was good enough for Moses, and it's good enough for me, too.

7. Appleworks or NeoOffice
I stopped using NeoOffice though, because the piece of shit crashes constantly, and has massive memory leaks
