This kid was so friendly--he talked to everyone and danced every dance:





Even though he looks "white" (people of any lineage are welcome to attend and participate in pow wows), this kid is the grandson of a "full-blooded" Choctaw woman. He also was really friendly and loved playing with Lucinda, and, like the boy above, he danced every single intertribal dance:



This young lady was the head woman dancer of this year's pow wow. Isn't she gorgeous?



If you've never attended a pow wow, you really should. You can learn so much about American Indian culture, and you get to meet a lot of interesting people!

1. When I was in high school

I used to go to pow-wows. I still have my regalia around here somewhere. I was drawn to it for some reason. :)

I love them. I never participate, except to walk out to "the blanket" to pitch in a $20. LOL.

But they are fun to attend.
