And sweet idea. I tell ya, I'm so bored cooped up here by the rain that I've been posting in GD!

Here's my dad and I - I was about 3 years old at the time.

ranks and fell into a flat out run. I could see the hour hand spinning.First thing it was driver's license only a few blinks later and they were graduating from high school, then I looked up and I was getting ready to go to law school graduation. Cherish every moment Shine, every one that you can.

15. ...
This is my dad.

I never got to meet him. He passed away when my mama was only weeks pregnant with me. I have a man who helped raise me in my younger years, who I consider like a dad too, but this is the one that made me. :) Mostly it was my mom who was dad, but that's neither here nor there! ;).

I have a lot of his features, I look just like him. :). I feel like I kind of know him, from reading the poetry he wrote to my mom, and reading letters he wrote to my gramma. Anywho. He's in my heart. :D I know he made my mama happy, he was good to gramma, and knowing my mama was pregnant made him happier then my mama had ever seen him, she says.

from the pix I seen of you, I would say, yes, you look just like him. I'm really sorry you never got to meet him, but it sounds as if you've found comfort in his poetry and sweet letters. That means a lot, I'm sure.

I'm sure he must be very proud of the bright, thoughtful and kind woman you have grown up to be. :loveya:

He's in your heart, indeed. What is Remembered, lives....

This picture right here, ever since I first saw it thought I look just like him- in most of the pics I have of him, he's wearing a bandana like this...

Here is my son, Daniel and my daughter, Leah.

Here's me and him... circa 1978 (that was a pimpin' Plymouth Fury III in the foreground there)

Here's me asking ChoralScholar Jr. if he wants to take a ride with papaw on the lawnmower:

Of course you know what the answer was.

Here's the last one. All three generations. And the way I will always remember my dad... pontificating... "You mean... to tell ME... <insert rant about Bush or the economy here>"

This particular rant was:
"You mean... to tell ME... that I'm licensed, by the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, to pull doubles and triples, tank trucks and hazardous materials all OVER this country, but I have to come down, and prove to YOU, that I can drive a 15 passenger van?!?"

(talking about his encounter at DMV)

127. Here goes:
It's a bad pic for a few reasons. One, the damn thing is blurry, two, this was taken over a year ago when I was at least 15 pounds heavier and three, because I was kind of caught off-guard when they took the pic, hence the weird expression on my face.

There are better pics of us, but this is the best one that's on my hard drive so far.
