Just out of curiousity...when did politics get so chock full of
whiny assed little motherfuckers that apparently need smelling salts, a full time nanny, and a fainting couch?

I think that "kinder, gentler" bullshit had something to do with this sorry state of affairs, personally.

1. It's all subjective.
Rightists would probably call THIS post whiny. Pretty much anyone I disagree with I could call "whiny."

Those with legitimate grievances get tarred with the "whine" brush by those they disagree with...and no one ever admits to losing an argument.

2. there's a fine line
between whining and cane-beating on the House floor. I'd like to see more of the latter, personally.

3. You mean like Butler from SC got back in the late 1800's?
that must have been spectacular, eh?

4. precisely who I was thinking of.
Wouldn't it be ever so cathartic to see Robert Byrd beating Lindsay Graham about the head with a cane, though?

5. absolutely
now that you mention it, yes. That does make me feel cheerier.

Actually, when I wrote this I was thinking of Sen. Sam Ervin. He was a family friend; I knew him as a child. I was thinking of Bobby Kennedy.

Politicians used to have guts. Now they are just little pansies. I am so sick of the lot of them.
