YES! SHARPTON'S HOSTING SNL!!!
This is going to be the GREATEST THING EVER!!!

To paraphrase Tracy Morgan's brilliant performace as Rev. Al from when Gore hosted:

"I'm so mad, I've got to MAKE UP WORDS to describe it! I'm so mad, I'm SMOBGROOBLE and BAZ MOMESHEK!"

I haven't looked this forward to an SNL since Jesse Jackson hosted in the late 80s, and did a brilliant job of it, too.

(sorry if this is a dupe thread - haven't seen it elsewhere yet)

1. If you live in OK, IA, or NH you can't see him
He's off the air due to his politcal race for president. That's the story for now.

2. Why? Did they see the episode in advance and thought it contained
lots of political messages?

Surely a political candidate would NOT abuse a host position in this manner...? Or is it just seeing him on TV that'll hype up an audience? "Oh, he's a tv star so let's all vote for him because image is more important than ideology or issues!"

Whoops, I just answered my own question... obviously I won't be going to California anytime soon, there aren't too many residents there I'd want to see. Arnold won because of his image, nothing more. Partly because he's GOT nothing more.

3. WHA?!
Dumbfounding.

America would be a pretty cool place if it were, like, a free country, or something.

So if I'm a Republican, Independent, Green or non-voter in OK, IA or NH, and there's no way in hell I'm voting in a Dem primary, I'm still prevented BY THE STATE from watching something that the rest of the country can view with impunity?

Damnation. IANAL, but that sounds Unconstitutional on its face. Prior restraint of political satire? The Founders would have burned the law's authors at the stake. Too bad most people couldn't give less of a shit about the abject violation of their inalienable rights.

The stations in those states would be (in some cases legally) bound to provide equal time to all Dem candidates. It is considered unfair that Sharpton appears with, no "rebuttle" if you will. I'll try to find a link, but I'm going to bed soon.

Found one: good enough for now
