I love this manic panic dye, it's not permanent, lasts maybe 3 months depending on the person, but*** my hair doesn't feel or look damaged at all since I've started using it :D
i think its vegetable based or something like that rather than just a bunch of chemicals, i could be wrong

14. I don't bleach anymore.

My hair's naturally auburn, so it takes dyes in the red-purple zone fine. I can't do blue or green without bleach, though.

Here's the tip with bleach I learned from my grandmother (who kept her hair platinum well into her 60s): use 10 or 20, not 30 or 40, and don't leave it on the roots long - 10 minutes tops. Then do an optical whitening treatment (there are lots but she uses Surya Henna Silver Fox). Try not to bleach the tips at all - either trim or just redye.
