Snakes On and Not On a Plane ??? (and has anyone read King's "1408"?)

I don't know if it's been mentioned here but not only does Samuel L Jackson star in Snakes on a Plane which is in post-production, but also in Black Snake Moan, also in post-production.

Plot Outline: The plot involves a white nymphomaniac who must be "cured" of her disorder by an older black blues man.

and from the board on that page (which I think is more or less like something I read here at DU):

oh yeah... and the way I got to all this was checking to see if it's true that he's signing on to "1408", (Stephen King short story) a thriller starring John Cusack. No confirmation of Jackson in that over at IMDb yet. I wonder if there are any snakes in that story. Anyone read it?
