Coffeeshop update: Neil Young singing about "Big Bird's flying in the sky"
I didn't know Big Bird could fly. He seems rather...un-aerodynamic.

1. Were you complaining about folk-rock chicks in this place before?
Edited on Wed Apr-05-06 02:45 PM by Radical Activist
Was that you? Is this the same place? Why don't you make a request about music. Is it small enough that they might do that? You sound like a regular. I hang out at the same place a lot and they put in one of my CD's sometimes.

2. Yeah, that was me
It's not so bad today, I can tolerate Neil. Plus they very often play cool stuff...they even played one of my favorite electronic groups last week. ;)

3. I love Neil Young
So I wouldn't be complaining. What electronic group was it? It wasn't Postal Service was it, because that would be very stereotypical. :)

9. but look on the bright side
I am now immune from any future mullet outbreaks, since I have the mullet antibody.

So when your kids are asking for an Arkansas Waterfall at Cost Cutters in a few years, I won't have to worry.

:hi:

10. "Helpless" - great song!
"There is a town in north ontario,
With dream comfort memory to spare,
And in my mind I still need a place to go,
All my changes were there.

Blue, blue windows behind the stars,
Yellow moon on the rise,
Big birds flying across the sky,
Throwing shadows on our eyes.
Leave us

Helpless, helpless, helpless
Baby can you hear me now?
The chains are locked and tied across the door,
Baby, sing with me somehow.

Blue, blue windows behind the stars,
Yellow moon on the rise,
Big birds flying across the sky,
Throwing shadows on our eyes.
Leave us

Helpless, helpless, helpless."

13. You heard it wrong. It's not "Big Bird's flying across the sky," it's
"Pig burps drying across my thigh."

15. The coffee shop I was at today played Otis Redding, The Black Lips,
Reigning Sound, and Ray Charles. You should come visit it some time. It's tops!
