Spring kitty manicure (pics).
Sashka had all red soft paws but wanted a special spring "manicure". She likes her new colors a lot better but wants to know if you think they're too wild for such a lazy kitty.

2. That's 'cause she's half asleep.
She had just gotten done doing her rolling-around-looking-cute routine.

3. Oh my, she is looking rather saucy with those nails!
Did you do that yourself? If so, you have a very patient kitty. I have three cats, and I doubt any of them would stay still long enough for such a beauty moment! Please tell Shaska I think her new manicure is da bomb!

4. HAHAHA! I think so, too.
Yeah, I did it. The kitties are already used to me trimming their claws, so it's no big deal to hold them for another few minutes and stick the tips on. Sashka likes to dig my furniture, so this was an experiment. We had tried sticky paws and she just took them off the furniture, rolled them into a little ball, and rolled them across the floor. Silly girl.

5. You have a very clever kitty!
So those are tips? Wow. I didn't know they had such things. Hmmmm, maybe Katie Cat would hold still long enough for me to try that with her.

Fortunately, the sticky paws strips worked with our cats, when they started attacking the furniture when was brand new. They do, however, like to try and sharpen their nails on the area rug, but Chloe Dog gets after them when they do that!

8. They're called soft paws.
Look here:
http://www.softpaws.com/

I sit my kitties in my lap, upside down like a baby, and they let me mess with their paws and claws. Sashka was the hardest one to do at first, but she's getting a lot better. My little boy, Satchmo, is the best. But he doesn't need soft paws because he uses the scratching posts.

You're lucky the sticky paws worked. I talked to someone who actually wrapped saran wrap around the bottom of her sofa. Why didn't I think of that? It's funny that Chloe Dog goes after your kitties when they're naughty. We could have used some of that help when Sabrina was destroying our hand-hooked wool rug.

11. I think I may have to check those out
(Though I dare say MrSG will think I'm nuts, but he thinks that anyway, so what the hell! )

You don't think harleydad was ready to call the men in their clean white coats when he saw them? But now he thinks they're pretty cute.

MrSG freaks out and wants to know what's wrong!

22. Typical.
:eyes: Yeah, I'm chattering away and harleydad looks like he'd rather get root canal. So then I get quiet and he thinks something's wrong.

6. We used Soft Paws on one of our cats, and we got weird comments
because they were all pink and someone thought we had PAINTED the cat's nails pink (can you imagine the mess if you ever tried to do that with a cat?). So, we were the freaks who painted our cat's toenails! Bah - we've been called worse!

10. Well, they do look painted.
And I guess people get their dog's nails painted. Nope, can't imagine the mess trying to do that with a cat. I like the soft paws, though. So far, so good.

13. That was the ironic part - the woman who thought we were weird
had a poodle that looked like a manicured hedge. Pointing that out was wayyyyyyyyy too easy, so we just let it slide.

I'd stick some on Lucy just to watch her walk at night.

 Oh, I'd LOVE to see that! Maybe we could suggest it as a new color. They have two-tone ones now, after all. How hard would it be to make glow-in-the-dark ones?

17. She's VERY gentle.
And shy. She has never bitten or scratched anyone, even if we're holding her and she wants to get down. She'll struggle so we can't hold onto her (she's VERY strong for her size) but she would never try to hurt anyone. Satchmo's the same way. They're the most gentle kitties I've ever seen.
:loveya:
For some reason, her nails are a bit harder to see -- maybe they just naturally retract more.
