RANT: My apartment managers SUCK

My hot water heater has been broken for a few weeks now. When it first broke, I called the office to schedule a maintenance call and scheduled one for the following day. I know I was specific because I was going to be off work that morning and I wanted to be home because I have cats and the maintenance people are infamous for leaving the balcony door open. I was told no problem. The following morning came and went...no maintenance people...so I went down to the office to see what the problem was and they said, "oh, we have that scheduled for tomorrow." Uh...NO. Well, whatever, they managed to get a maintenance guy to look at it a few minutes later. He dinked around a bit and the problem appeared to be fixed.

Fast forward to yesterday, when I realize that the problem is back. I have ZERO hot water in my kitchen...not in the sink, not in the dishwasher. I can get about 10 minutes of WARM water in my shower if I crank it all the way on hot. Not so great. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to wash dishes in cold water? Ugh. So yesterday I called them back, told them the problem, and scheduled a maintenance call for today. I locked the cats in my bedroom because of aforementioned balcony door problem. They were shut in here ALL DAY LONG, which sucks, but there really was no other option.

So I get home a few minutes ago, let the cats out, and turn on the kitchen sink. Yeah, you guessed it. NO HOT WATER. FUCKING SHIT. Seriously, how hard is it to schedule an appointment? And of course the office is closed for the day and doesn't open until after I have to leave for work in the morning. Which means, the cats get locked in the bedroom AGAIN. And I call and go lawyer-bitch on their asses and demand that they fix it NOW.

OMG, I am SO pissed off.

1. I'm with you...

I've been trying to get the water continuity fixed in my shower for a few months now. She keeps telling me someone is coming, but no one has. I got scalded the other morning and it's getting OLD! I totally feel where you're coming from.

we're busy as hell at work.

I'd definitely threaten getting someone in to fix that thing. You have the right to do so. I betcha it gets done right all of a sudden. :-)

Mine never fix SHIT. I have had to fix my own in-sink-erator, unplug my OWN bathtub and sinks, and fix a crack in the ceiling MYSELF. Assholes. They out cheap ass carpet down, and wait til the last second on earth to turn the heat on. This is just the beginning of the problems I've had with these people. I rufuse to pay my rent now until the middle of the month. Or as I told them, whenever I get around to it. If they cant fix ANYTHING in this apartment, then I cant pay my rent on time.

13. As much as I disliked my apartment, they were at least responsive.

That's the best part of renting. Call someone, stuff gets fixed for free.

I have to learn to be Bob fucking Vila to save a buck. x(
