I bought a rental place about 3 years ago that has doubled in value. I'm not rich, don't have a great income. It's tempting to sell this place and pay off an existing mortgage so I can live mortgage-free. I would assume this is a good place to be during a recession.
I am 41 years old, living in the DC area. Self-supporting.
Any thoughts?
