it's all a dream" thing. I do like the "other" that they're holding. He is super creepy. I thought it was irresponsible of Hurley to destroy all that food no matter how much food they have. My patience for the show is waning and by the lack of action on this thread, it seems I am not the only one.

5. It's getting good again!
when I start to think I know what's going on, I get bored with it (that and when they have 2 months worth of re-runs in a single season).

So if Libby was in the mental ward, can we assume she is lying about being a psychologist or was she a psychologist before arriving at the ward?

And is Hugo making it all up or not? I have no idea anymore. Pretty cool!

The previews for the next episode also looks good. I just wish people would start talking about the hospital that Claire was at when she was abducted. It makes no sense that Kate and Claire haven't told anyone about it yet. I would be telling everyone.

I'm glad Locke can wiggle his toes by the way.

that they thought she was a pathological liar. Now I wonder if they have something in their theory.

10. What was it that "Henry" said
when he was talking to Locke? It sounded like "God doesn't see this island, just like nobody else does" -- or something like that. I didn't quite catch it. He also said that Zeke (the nasty "other" with the fake beard) is actually nobody compared to their actual leader. Curiouser and curiouser ...

11. I thought he said God too
I believe the people currently responsible for Dharma is different from "the Others". I think the bearded guy and the blonde woman on the boat that took Walt were the initial creators of this whole thing but somehow lost control over it and now there's a weird power struggle.

Yes, I'm talkin' out of my ass, but it's LOST so I'm expected to, right? lol

what the heck is going on inside his head. And the actor who played Hurley's imagninary friend was a tripster, too. It was a total MF last night.

say that he is there to kill the imminent leader of the castaways, yet he says that he is not a bad person.

If that info is true I wonder exactly what will happen.

19. I dunno
She looked way beyond a mere problem telling the truth; she looked pretty catatonic and twitchy like something was MAJORLY wrong with her.

I think it's possible that she "fell" for Hurley at the psych ward and has been stalking him. Hence, why she was on the plane.

21. It was interesting that this poster nailed that info
right after the first night of her intro being aired.

He got something right, though. He stated that she and Hurley were connected, though Hurley did not know about it. Maybe the poster nailed it: she's a compulsive liar and the meds that she was taking in the psych ward were causing major side effects.

23. Yeah, the only others are Rose and Bernard
And I think there's one coming up about them too.

I'm really curious to see their story.

Also, I'd love to see a flashback episode about "Henry Gale" (or Desmond or Danielle or Ethan or Zeke or any of the "random" island people) but I doubt that will happen. At least, not this season...

After winning $156M.

If I were crazy and locked up in a ward with some guy who later won a fortune, I'd probably track him too.

26. i'm enjoying it! at this point im not overly concerned about "what it all
means" but enjoying it as allegory or fable having to do with... I dunno, working thru Karma? There were other TV shows which took place all or partly in the realm of "magical realism" -- some episodes of "Northern Exposure" come to mind. i suppose i might be frustrated if i was wanting it to be more linear/logical. as long as the charcters stay rich and compelling Ill continue to watch. Although of course if this is actually building towards some real resolution & eventual completion of the story-- so much the better!

to me this most recent twist seems more than just a simple-minded "its all hurleys hallucination" Kind of suggests to me multi-layered realities of some of the eastern philosophies & the "dream within a dream" of some science fiction writers who intertwined dream & reality...

Hurley has got to be one of the most interesting & complex characters -- his depiction of mental patient/ tortured soul was very real.

28. I'm with you on that
I do think it's fun to try to sort out what might be going on, but I really truly enjoy the show just because they've created such rich, interesting characters. That's what initially sucked me in, and that's what's kept me coming back.

W/r/t Hurley's portrayal, I think that this show has some of the most underrated acting on TV. Almost all of the actors really seem to inhabit their roles like a second skin. Granted, this may just be because the writers have created such compelling characters, but still...(I don't think I'll ever be able to see Terry O'Quinn in anything without automatically thinking of him as Locke.) Also, the guy who plays Henry Gale is absolutely amazing, IMHO. Whenever he's on the screen, I'm suddenly captivated by anything he says.

30. I'll tell you the thing that drives me the craziest
is that they left Australia at almost 3 PM. They were in the air for eight hours (according to the pilot) which means they would have crashed around 11 PM. So why was it daylight on the beach and several hours before sunset?????

Were they traveling east instead of west? Are they in the Atlantic Ocean? Why did Anna Lucia say they were in the air for two hours before the crash? I have asked this on other boards and people have said it was probably just a writer's error. I don't think so. Why mention the time at all?

I am still thinking that it is a Matrix thing where memories are piped into the survivors, but this would be so lame, as would a dream sequence, as it has all been done before.

I love the idea that Henry is there to kill either Jack or Locke. But why infiltrate the group when you could just take everyone out and not worry who is the leader? Why not integrate the missing Losties about who in in charge and tell Michael that they are going to kill Walt if he doesn't tell them?

34. Well the time change is there...
I don't know the specifics, but I remember the one time I flew back from Australia. You're flying towards morning. If you leave Sydney at 3pm and fly for 8 hours it might be 11pm in SYDNEY, but you're not 8 hours flight time away. The flight from Sydney to LA is about 11 hours when you take away the padding, and it's about 10 hours different I think? So if they were 8 hours into the flight they'd be probably around 8 hours different time zone wise. So if in Sydney it's 11pm it was maybe 7am when the plane crashed.

Approximately.

38. Going back to last weeks episode...
What was it that Locke saw on the door? Was it a hologram, a projection? Looked like some kind of diagram or Mayan calendar or some such. Last night "Henry" said he saw something similar. I think Henry knows the true meaning behind the hatch.
