I can't eat anymore. So I think I'll shop.
I've been over self-medicating with food lately. Not really food, but I've had entirely too much Coca-Cola this week.

So I think I'll go see what other damage I can do on eBay instead.

I think this is next:

Bobby Grich, second baseman (later known as "dial-a-glove," the Halos' utility infielder) on the right, the reason my number is 4. Doug DeCinces, shortstop, on the left.

Photo taken during the 1986 American League Championship Series. Do you remember who represented the AL in the World Series that year? Here's a hint: It was the Boston Red Sox. If you ask me, I'll say yes, I do believe in the Sports Illustrated Cover Curse.

But I don't care. I've looked for this magazine for twenty years, and that Bobby signed it -- well, it's just MINE.

1. If it helps any...
I just made several bids on eBay myself (some things for my daughter), AND I just won the bids yesterday on a beautiful 1950s cocktail/party dress. And I just ordered two pairs of tennies from LLBean.

2. Cool!
I love to wear tennis shoes. They're all I'm comfortable in. Fortunately I have had surgery on my right ankle four times, so my employer can't rightfully complain about my choice in footwear. Heh.

4. I can't wait to get them.
I can envision myself running around in sandals or tennies all summer. (Well, except when I'm wearing the cocktail dress. :D)

3. or maybe this:

I had one of these a long time ago, after seeing it in Whoopi Goldberg's apartment in "Jumping Jack Flash."

But maybe it's not the best buy. We're running out of wall space in our little house.

5. I love kitschy stuff like that.
I have a Breakfast At Tiffany's poster hanging up on the wall in this room. We also have quite a few 1950s and 1960s 11x14 magazine ads, some framed, some still unframed.
