is there a way to create folders and divide up my mail? I know I could archive it and search later, but I really don't want to do that.

You can make a label for it. It still shows up in the main inbox, but if you want to go to something fast, you just click on the "label." The list of labels are on the left side under all the different mailboxes.

I really don't want to have it show up in my main inbox, as it's not something I need family viewing over my shoulder IYKWIM.
