after work...go out and experience the surrounding area. Sign up for a few activities and look to make new friends that way.

We negotiated. It was his turn after I "made him" live in North Conway for 5 years. We've been here coming on 3 and I martyred myself the entire time.
We are now planning a move back to NH, although a different area for a job.
Took me a year to tolerte Sarasota. Found myself a great job that makes it difficult to leave, but I'll be glad to be back in NH where I belong.
Nothing you can do to make your spouse like the area. It's her problem.
