I'm going to have a bruise.
I know this thread will sink like a rock and I don't care. I just had to tell someone that I just got bit on the hip -- a rather ample hip, TYVM -- by a six-month-old kitten who wasn't getting enough attention. I haven't looked at it yet but I know I will have four little puncture wounds and a big fat bruise. That wench has a set of jaws!

Here's the wench: Cocoa: http://home.earthlink.net/~notheidi63/id3.html

She's evil!

1. Since this may be a slow thread I can confess
That I thought you were a "drag queen" for quite a while. (I'm a gay male.) But I thought that you had one of the best Drag Queen name's and made that assumption for some reason. I think about a week ago I realized you were not.

I hope your ample hip heals quickly and don't spoil the kitten too much.

4. no worries
I just dig the name. I expect the drag queen inference, and it doesn't bother me in the least.

Don't spoil the kitten "too much?" LOL How much is too much? :D

6. "Agggh" -- ROFL
You must have pets. They can drive one to drink.

Speaking of drink... I have crazy cats, fighting cats, and a sick fish... it must be 5:00 PM somewhere.... hell, I'll just rope my coffee.

7. OT in part
First: all cats are evil. Q.E.D.

That being said, your photo of the women of the house is positively scary. You two could be twins to my wife and her best pal. Unfortunately, pal passed away in '98. (I showed the photo on your site to my wife. She said, "Look! It's Becky and me!")

8. Here's a sure fire solution to getting bit!
I'm readin my local paper online whilst browsing the boards. Found this photo on the front page of the online MEssenger-Inquirer (Owensboro, KY). It seems the little bugger had been raiding trash bags left out for pickup and got a little too enthusiastic.

I hope the photographer helped the poor thing after snapping the pic.

I'm sorry about your pal Becky.

9. She's kewt!
I love tuxedo cats. I used to have one of the short-haired kind. Now I have an all-black shorthair and two long-haired "smokes," which have a white undercoat and are very unusual - one motley gray and black, the other cream with brown tips and blue eyes. I like to part the hair along the back of the gray one so it makes a white stripe and go, "Skunk le pew!"

Anyway, I'm covered with little scars that were once puncture wounds and bruises.

11. that photo of her scared to death
was taken on the day we brought her home. She was five weeks old, and had just had what was apparently her first bath, her first meal in days, and obviously her first long, warm, completely safe nap. She woke to that nose poking her own, poor thing.

Now she rules the house.

And don't worry, folks... I don't intend to post a photo of the bruise. But it's a winner.
