5. It is a little known fact that all Peeps
were made in Bulgaria between the years 1954-59 by the billions and exported. They were part of a Khrushchev 5 year plan to get rid of radioactive waste and heavy metal sludge from the Soviet thermonuclear weapons buildup.

There has been no need for a production run since, as all unsold Peeps are returned to the warehouse and re-packaged with a new sell-by date for the following year.

Oh, and they are not dyed yellow. That is zinc chromate, and it keeps them from oxidizing when exposed to atmosphere. Or reacting with anything corrosive, for that matter.

Poisonous, but anyone that eats the damn things has a death wish anyway.

I won't eat anything with it in it and wouldn't do so even as an omnivore.

There are marshmallows without gelatin for when I get a craving.

but, I can't resist Peeps. I buy the chicks in the spring, the ghosts at Halloween, x-mas Peeps.

So, where are the summer-themed Peeps? How about Peep bees, wasps and worms?

either cheese or chocolate will do. Try melted Reese's cups. Or Velveeta.

And don't forget to make popcorn balls with the melted peeps from the microwave. Stir in the contents of a package of pineapple Jell-o for a real treat.

my neighbors always give my son some for Easter and then they sit around, since he only likes chocolate. Then I feel guilty since I don't eat them, either. I should give them to my dad who will eat stale candy in pretty much any form. :scared:
