Welcome to this Friday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I'm all excited because today is the first day of my vacation! :woohoo: It seems as if it's taken forever to get here, but here we are!

I hope you've had a great week so far! One more work shift and the weekend will be upon us, so you can relax and have some fun instead of hitting the old grindstone. I'm going to be leaving for Missouri to see my parents early in the morning...and when I say early, I'm talking 3:30 to 4am. If I can get on the road by 4 at the latest, I should be in Springfield by 7:30 to 8pm! In other words...it's a LOOONG drive. :rofl:

I'm not going to have access to a computer for a week (until next Saturday), so I have asked SeattleGirl to be in charge of the Early Morning Crew thread while I'm gone! She said she'd be happy to, so Miss Seattle will be in charge until I return! THANK YOU!, Miss Seattle for filling in for me while I'm gone! :bounce:

It was an AWESOME machine! It even had a food disposal in it so that any food washed off the dishes was ground up and washed away in the emptying cycle! When I moved into this place, it already had a dishwasher so I gave it to my little brother.

We used to go to the beach every weekend and take pictures. They're over on the other computer ... but some of them are really pretty. We sit on a lifeguard station and have a picnic while the sun was coming up. I don't know why we stopped doing it.

But our realtor called and said that the one who cancelled for Wed. afternoon has been here before and wants to bring her husband -- we're on the short list of houses she likes. The husband got called out of town and they'll come next week.

The one who didn't show up at all just got tired of looking at 8:00. They were due here at 7:00, so it appears they were behind schedule. When my realtor suggested to her that it would have been a good idea to call, she said, "Gee, I never even thought about that!" x( He said it was really hard for him to be nice to her.

129. I wonder if the man at the furniture store felt that way yesterday.

We ordered new family room furniture and they sent a little square of leather in the mail. We looked at it and wondered, "Is this the right color?" So we called up the store and told them we wanted to come in and look at the colors again. Sure enough, it was the right color. It just looks a lot different in a tiny swatch than it does on a piece of furniture. I'm sure the guy was rolling his eyes. He was very nice about it, though.

The colors of our furniture look different sometimes in a persons house because we have spotlights all over the store shining on them and they look somewhat lighter on the showroom than in use. I try to tell everyone that as I'm answering questions and stuff. I've more than one person come back in to re-look at colors.

The ones who get me are those people who come in one day, see somethings on a great sale, doesn't buy it and then comes in a month later and is mad when the sale is over and wants me to give them the old sale price anyway. :eyes: It doesn't quite work that way, you know?

131. Well, they let us take the big piece home before we ordered.

And it looked perfect. The little piece even looked wrong in the showroom until we compared it to the sofa. It was like an optical illusion or something.

The guy told us the prices were going up on April 1. This furniture never goes on sale, apparently. But we had a whole week to decide. It would have been our tough luck if we'd waited till April 1 to order it.

People do expect the strangest things, don't they? :shrug:
