Any ideas on what to do there?

I hate Disney, and don't even have my toddler with me to appreciate it - so thats out.

What else is there to do?

1. I'm going too!
We are going to MGM though.

Universal is cool. Downtown Disney doesnt require tickets and has some good restaurants and bars.

Orlando is pretty boring if you don't like theme parks.

15. Epcot is great fun by yourself
Really cool rides, and many of them have a "single rider" line that's really short, so you don't spend hours waiting in line. Entertaining / educational as well.

Much of the Epcot World Showcase is pretty authentic (native Canadians / Chinese / Germans etc work in each one), so you get a flavor of different countries (sorta). The French restaurant is outstanding (and I've been to Paris 5 times).

Disney-MGM studios is a blast too, best thrill rides in all of Disney, and the Indiana Jones stunt show is very good. Overall, it's great if you like movies. But smaller than Epcot. If you have only one day to spend at Disney, then go with Epcot, since it's like two parks in one, for the same admission price as MGM.

You probably wouldn't like Animal Kingdom as much, since it's geared a bit more for kids than Epcot or MGM.

The equivalent to Disneyland is Disney World's Magic Kingdom. I haven't been there in years and years. Probably won't until KayTot is 5 or so.

3. Lots to do!
Or so the magazine in my hotel room there two weeks ago said. They had a whole article on non-theme-park things to do, including museums and such. I can tell you that there's a few humongous malls, and about 6 Indian restaurants withing spitting distance of each other on International Drive.

14. i've been there a couple of times, don't really want to go back.

but there's a few things to do. As others have said, universal is cool (but still a theme park). Nasa is very cool of you're into that sort of thing (I am0

On international drive there's the hard rock vault (or there was), a small rock museum with lots of cool artifacts. Fun just so you can say you saw the infamous 'quilt of panties' from Zappa.

no matter what, drinking by the pool is always nice.
