Poll question: Who Cuts/Styles Your Hair?
Given a choice, I'd prefer to have guys cut my hair. But since most barbers are men anyway... it's not something that I have to think about very often.

18. Remember "Floyd's City Barber Shop" On The Andy Griffith Show?
The place I go to is a lot like that.

2. My best friend is a stylist at a swanky hair salon! And she does
mine for FREE! :woohoo: Otherwise, it would cost about $160! x(

3. A woman cuts my hair.
A woman of the lesbian persuasion, actually. We get along famously. Talk about gay stuff and all.

She's a fine barber.

4. Go to a woman at a swanky salon
She'es really good with finding my right color and cuts that frame my face properly. I pay through the nose, but she's worth it. I've never looked better.

Besides, it's a hour or two that I don't have to think about anything.

5. A good friend of mine cuts my hair.......
Well, we're friends NOW.......

She was my donor when I was still working at the Red Cross....

And I was looking for someone to cut my hair then.....and she was a hairdresser!

She used to threaten me with a mohawk if I missed her vein!

Thank goodness, I never missed! :scared:

We have a lot of fun together.......:woohoo:

7. A man does mine and he is really good
his style while cutting is similar to Edward Scissor hands, it was a bit disconcerting the first time but I love him. :woohoo:

8. Right now, nobody :(
The stylist I've been going to for the last 30 years retired in January. I got my last cut in December, so I'm starting to look a little shaggy.

My hair grows like a weed, too, so it looks like I'm growing a mullet.

9. Last time I had it cut was when my SO shaved my head
I've just let it grow for the past 3 years.

If I go to a salon, I gravitate to the gayest (as in most flamboyant) male I see. I suppose I'm stereotyping, but I've gotten the most pleasing results that way every time.

11. Linda
from Linda's Shear Design. My wife is a little jealous, but, I tell her when you find a good hair cutter it's like finding a good mechanic it's entirely a professional relationship that you don't fuck up.

13. Classic small-town barber
...complete with blue-fluid comb and shaky hand with straight razor to touch up at the end. :D

He's not a young man. ;) But the beauty really is in the rest of the customers. You haven't heard people talk about weather with such earnestness until you've heard it from farmers in the barber shop.

14. The best haircut I ever got was from a woman with her barber's license.
I stayed with her for years, and then she moved. She not only had her barber's license, she also had cut in an barber shop for several years, and that give her the hair-cutting experience that most beauticians don't have.

Most beauticians don't have a barber's license.

15. I cut my own
I got so tired of paying $25-40 a pop and HATING the style

what's so tough already? I have naturally curly hair, you cut the bangs at my eyebrows and pull everything else on my head to that line!!! it ain't rocket science yanno?

:banghead:

anyway, last year I tried it myself (with a little help from DH for the back) and it looks better than any hair dresser I've ever found in AZ

in California I had the same dear lady for 12 years. and yes, she cut the bangs and then pulled the rest up to that line. I'd tell the people here to do that and they never would! :argh:

16. My friend is a stylist so I go to the salon she works at. Going tomorrow,
as a matter of fact.

But before I met her, I didn't really care who cut it as long as he/she did a good job.
