Is my dog evil if he killed a bird for no reason?

6. That is the thing! I was outside when he got the bird. I was

sitting in one of my chairs outside and the bird came down for some food. They are always in my backyard getting food. And before I even saw anything, he had the bird in his mouth!
Usually, they are too fast for him to catch, but he always chases them!

If they're normally too fast and this one was not, perhaps it was injured? If you were right there, you did what you could.

Shy of training him not to chase them (which, depending on his breed is probably an excersise in futility) I don't think there's much you can do to prevent this behavior. I suppose you could bell him like a cat so the little critters get a head start. :shrug:

9. This may sound mean, but I would like for a cat to fight back with

him. He thinks he is a KING and I would like for him to get a tast of his own medicine. But I was thinking that maybe the bird was injured b/c they are really fast. But still, it broke my heart.

My son went through a phase where he'd bully other kids. How did I solve it? I took him to the park in the late afternoon when bigger kids were there. After getting shoved away a few times he got the idea and he doesn't pick on smaller kids anymore.

It's not mean, it's letting natural consequences provide instruction.
