I still regret not going further with her... but, she looked like she could be the daughter of my Aunt, who is a religious fanatic type, and I couldn't get over that. I remember her telling me, "I want a guy who is smart, but not that smart" (i.e., would not have a career that challenged her role as the breadwinner) and, how she would have a child and then go right back to work while hubby stayed home to raise the baby.

Luckily, I have a wife now that could be the 100% breadwinner in our family in a few years... and, she is gorgeous and doesn't look like my aunt.

I dated a lawyer ONCE. And there was a reason for that.

The sonofabitch lied for a living, so why was I surprised that our entire relationship was a lie?

He was fucking around on his girlfriend/ex-girlfriend. By the time he got through with me, I had no idea what the truth was next to all the lies he spun. While he was telling me how amazing I was, and how wonderful I was, he was trying to figure out how to win back his ex (also a lawyer).

I found a diary in which he said that I wasn't as THIS as she was, wasn't as THAT as she was, wasn't as pretty, breasts not as big, but I was the only chance for sex he was going to have for awhile, so he was going to keep me around if only for that. :eyes:

You don't think THAT does a number on your self-esteem. GOD the amount of therapy I needed.....After that, I decided I would never screw a lawyer ever again. And doctors seemed to be in that same money-grubbing, power-hungry family. Not interested.

I married an artist who worships the ground I walk on. I'm the main breadwinner, and wouldn't have it any other way.

Mike, if you recognize yourself in the above description, it is only in the last few years of my true happiness that I quit wishing for your lengthy, drawn-out, painful death. Fucker.

I guess they don't have a lot of mystique to me. My dad's a lawyer (just like everyone- there's good ones and bad ones) and I work with a lot of physicians (I know some that are very nice and others that just aren't quite as special as their egos think).

My true weakness in life seems to be Irishmen somehow involved in middle management. :shrug:

I see a shrink every 3 months for my meds and I've used two lawyers in the past month to help clear up past indescretions. Doctors and lawyers can be useful.

as for doctors, I have found ER doctors and psychiatrists to be the most democratic.
