HEY....anybody ever drank a RUBY SLIPPER?

I heard it ordered at the bar tonight...but, the bartender did not know how to make it so, they changed their order to a SKANK


so what are the ingredients in a ruby slipper?

1. Here's what I found:

1 1/2 oz whiskey
grenadine syrup
7-Up® soda

Directions of recipe >>
Fill a shot glass three-quarters full with whiskey, and with grenadine. Fill any large glass with 7-up. Drop the shot glass into the 7-up and drink everything.

Very dangerous for me. Makes me feel too fine. Vodka's what I've got to stay away from. Had WAY too many Vodka Lemonades one night. I was embalmed that night. :puke:

but I just have to watch how much. Problem with the Lemonade drink was that I couldn't taste the Vodka in it and drank it like water. I love irish coffee! It's one of my favorite drinks. Guiness is something I can drink once in a great while. I'm more into Ales.

we have a microbrewery here in town so I always have a new flavor to check out but I usually only drink beer in the summer time...ice cold while mowing the lawn...yummy

That's one of the pleasures of life. Wish we had a microbrewery here. There is such a difference in taste when you have something that's made right there.

even if it is one of the reddest cities in this red state...but trust me WE are working on changing it!!!

From what I've seen a fair number of those red states are really purple, meaning the repugs don't have that much of a majority. Just keep pressing on!

a pink squirrel or a pink pussycat. I have not personally had either of these drinks. My friend did to prove a stupid point. It didn't work. We still bring it up over six months later.

My one friend was having girl issues and he would drink kind-of prissy drinks. So I made an off-hand comment about he should drink a man's drink if he wanted a girlfriend. He then said he would never date a woman that had issues with a guy drinking a prissy drink, because she was stupid. When I gave him the names of a few female friends that felt this way (that he respected as intelligent), he demanded that the bartender made him the "girliest" drink he could and that if anybody had a problem with it, he'd kick their ass. He got mocked a bit, but no fight occurred. So anyway, he ended up with a pink squirrel and then a pink pussycat.

Pink Squirrel
1/2 part grenadine syrup
1/2 part white creme de cacao
1 part milk

Pink Pussycat
2 oz Gin
4 oz Pineapple juice
1 oz Cherry brandy

Then, he got a Mount Gay with coke.

27. It's a dark rum, very similar's to Meyer's Dark rum.

It's definitely not a girly drink. The bartender just made it for him because of the name.

2. According to my googlage

it is whiskey and grenadine in a glass of 7-up. In other words, it's a nasty way to ruin perfectly good whiskey and perfectly good 7-up, while simultaneously making a complete jackass of yourself....
