1. Hi, Skittles!
Are you really in Sicily?

I am in Switzerland, and I can hear a Sicilian swearing in dialect at his sheeps across the road from me. (Really.)

2. An angry Sicilian?
Good thing it's sheep instead of horses. :scared:

Hi, Skittles! :hi:

3. He's _loud_, lemme tell you.
He's a really nice guy, unless you're one of his sheep. He treats his animals a bit differently than I'm accustomed to seeing. (My sister-in-law lives across the road from us, and she has sheep, too, but they get really humane treatment.)

4. Hey, that photo you or CMW posted
of the road leading to your house... it reminded me of Bodega Bay for some reason. Y'know, "The Birds."

Just sayin'.

5. You mean the stormy evening photo?
It doesn't normally look like that, though. Normally, "here" looks like rural Colorado.

7. I think that was a CMW thread.
But I don't remember when he posted it. It's really pretty here, especially in spring and summer. Winter, not so much. :(

9. When I was living in Brasil I had a neighbor who used to beat her dog
with metal wires and rods every day. I finally got fed up and told her if I saw her do that again I would beat her with it. She either stopped or moved to the other side of the favela to do it.

10. Awful.
Our neighbor has been reported to the Swiss version of the SPCA. He's taking better care of his animals now, but he still yells at them. Maybe I'm just too soft-hearted.

12. Hey Skittles
I hope you are having a good time. I sailed through the Strait of Messina a few times with Etna puffing away to the south of us.

First time I passed that way a fellow named Ulysses was the skipper.

Where to next? If you get to Rappalo look up Marie Angela for me. Say hello.

Ed
