I have NEVER liked Garvey. He was always a phony. Even when I was a kid during his peak years (including the '81 Series), he always rubbed me the wrong way.

This article confirms it. Makes me ill. Obviously a Republican asswipe. I hope he ends up in jail.

8. I've worked with many, many pro athletes and this is all too common.

They have everything taken care of for them from high school on and when they finally hit the real world, they have no idea how to manage their money.

I know many player who regularly have their power, cable, etc turned off due to non-payment.

In addition, they spend recklessly like they will be making that kind of money for the rest of their lives.
