I used mine for ebooks more than anything, although I also use it as a road map.

1. Road map, calendar w/alarms, games...
The iPaq has a nice loud speaker, too. Useful for alarms...

4. Phone directory primarily...
calendar (when I keep it up to date), calculator, maps/directions., mp3 player. I also download powerpoint presentations on SD cards to practice before I give a talk.

But mine is also a cell phone, (Kyocera7135) so the pda is a nice extra.

3. THe progarm ListPro is FANTASTIC!
Notes during meetings and better yet...games during meetings!
Phone numbers for sure!
I've had both palm and PPC. PPC is way better. The new IPAQ4355 with the little keyboard is awesome!

5. When I used mine, it was as an ebook on the train
It was great to have a choice of what to read whenever I wanted.

6. Avantgo junkie!!!!
I read the NYT, Guardian, Salon and other papers on my Dell Axim. It's the one thing I have to keep my windows machine around for, so I can sync it with my PDA.

I also have three E books on it...Wealth and Democracy, a book about skull and bones, and another by Douglas Rushkoff on how technology is going to save Judaism.

I don't buy e books because they are so expensive. If they were substantially cheaper than regular books I could be an e book junkie but not while they cost about the same as a regular book.

8. Working up to using it as my own personal reference guide
for taking on dittododos and freeper mentals.

At this time, though, it is a lot of data entry when I'm away from my home PC and I'm bored. (Yeah, I know that its a hard thing to do, but there are ways . . .)

Now that I have Vis Studio .NET, I am going to try to do some programming of other stuff as I come up with it.

(Have a nice 256Mb SD card in it. When I note something nasty about Repukes, it goes in my Politics subdirectory).

Been playing with programming since 1979, I would say I'm kind of a techno freak. I can't whistle into the phone and read my email without a computer, though, but I do pick things up fairly quickly.

I'm a cabling god.
