Remote control help, please

I lost my remote for my Magnavox MWD200F DVD player AND the little booklet that came with it. I can't search through DVDs or use the menus or anything without the remote and I also can't find the right code online for a universal remote. :cry:

Anyone out there have the same DVD player and know what the code is?

3. I googled too. The manufacturer offered to sell me another remote for

about half what I paid for the whole shebang. At that rate I might as well just buy a whole 'nother unit and give it to my kids. They're going for about $20 on Ebay.

6. Oh, I haven't tried that yet. Been working with two different remotes and

no luck with either brand. The original remote barely worked in that I had to practically walk up to the unit to get it acknowledged. I am beginning to wonder if taking the DVD player on that road trip wiggled whatever remote doohickey thingy in it completely loose.

4. Do you have the directions for your universal remote?

Most have a feature that automatically searches for the code.

7. Yes, and it requires me to cycle through 300 or more codes. So far no luck
