Does anyone listen to David Lee Roth's morning radio show?
I mean that literally. Does anyone listen to it? I tried, and it's horrible.

Horrible.

Horrible.

2. How many times does he go "WOW"! or "HeyHey"! during the show?

3. I phased ouf of listening to Stern back in Aug-Sep 2005...
...because I knew whatever they found to replace him I probably wasn't going to like.

Perhaps Infinity should try something new and original for their morning show like MUSIC!!!

4. DLR is a much more interesting and accomplished person than
I ever would have guessed. I assumed he was a has-been rocker and probably kind of a jerk (from his Diamond David Lee days). I'm pleasantly surprised - he sounds like a liberal from what I've heard him say.

His show is very boring, though. It's format just doesn't fit morning drive time. Although I tire easily of the "Morning Zoo" type shows, with their endlessly repetitive Beer, Boobs, and Farts schtick, I do like some humor and liveliness in the AM. DLR is just too dull for that time period - he may be better in a late night format.

5. You pretty much nailed my view!
I'd like to see a few more contentious guests, too, rather than a parade of people with mildly interesting views without any real disagreement or dispute.

And now, Bunny, here's a postscript just for you:

Said Rumsfeld, "We've lost three Brazilians.
Not soldiers, alas, but civilians."
Said that Prez, head in hands,
"I just don't understand.
How many are in a brazillion?"

9. Hey, give me points for originality-of-form, at least
AFAIK, that's the first Brazilians limerick to grace DU. Not to mention the poignant haiku in my signature line.

If I can work it into a sonnet, I just might post it for you!

6. He didn't sound as liberal to me
I listened a little when he first came on and it was boring. One day he was talking about why he supported the war in Iraq and it had to do with fighting the terrorists over there. I don't remember exactly what was said, but he and his crew were all in agreement on it. That's not why i stopped listening to him, I just didn't find him interesting.

I found Radio Free Ohio on AM and that's what I listen to on my drive in. The Bill Press show isn't too bad.

8. Ahh, I wasn't aware he had said that about the war.
I only tune in on occasion, so I guess I missed some stuff!

When I heard him, he was talking about the right to choose, and he couldn't understand why anyone would want to force people to have babies they don't want. He also made a couple of other liberal-type comments, but I'll be darned if I can think of them now.

10. It is simply not listenable
I love morning radio. I used to flip from Stern to the two local "zoo" shows and mix in news and traffic.

I tried to give DLR a chance. It was terrible. I tried the first week and figured give t more time, so I bounced back often. I tried again when they said he was going to play less of his style of music (which I don;t enjoy), it still sucked. I even tried a week ago when the shook up his staff. Not my thing. I bought Sirius and LOVE IT!!

Stern's show is the same, but more aggressive. The Music on Sirius is great, plus the other talk shows are top. I hope AA and Sirius patch things up, but for now, I am hooked on the Elvis Channel (Ch 13).
If you like music and fun talk shows, it is worth the $.40 per day.
