3. Working

Our bank merged with another local bank so things have been extremely hectic since January. (Wow, that's been a long time ago!) Also, our new internet program at work is extremely sensitive so I can log on to DU but only to read articles; I'm blocked from the message boards! And by the time I get home in the evenings, I fix dinner for the better half and play with the pets and then it's bedtime. I can't stay awake past 9:00 lately so I have missed my evenings on DU too!

8. Things are getting better

I had actually quit because the stress was too much and I was a week away from starting a new job with some really great people. But then my supervisor called in the big dogs and they offered me quite a bit to stick it out awhile longer. That was 3 weeks ago and I've seen more improvement since then than we saw from January until March! And, my first big paycheck will be coming in 2 weeks so I'm planning on enjoying work a lot more over the coming months.

I've made a pact with myself to spend at least one evening a week and at least an hour a weekend checking things out. I refuse to watch the news anymore because I haven't been able to come here and vent on my hatred for all the lies. I've even been avoiding the newspapers!

11. I didn't go anywhere, I just haven't

been able to get on and post from work like I was used to; and I haven't taken time in the evenings like I should have been.

Due to the merger, it hasn't been very nice at work.

I tried to quit after 3 and half months, but they gave me a raise and a promotion to stick it out so I'm still there.

President? I failed a take home test in history class and spent 2 weeks in detention trying to pass it (this from a straight A student) so there's no way I would know that without tons of research; don't I feel stupid!

No, I've never been to DC. I wish I could attend a protest there before the Ape is gone but I don't forsee having that opportunity due to finances/work/husband's school.
