Trying to make sense when there is no context - but there had been context if one had seen the 'front page' of the lounge 20 minutes earlier.... aye yi yi....

THen the explanations, referring to the fifteenth post (and others) on threads that are now on page 8.... How confusing!

Think it more speaks to how many folks there are and how fast threads move - and then when referring/copycat threads remain on page one, when the context/original thread have dropped to page 4... it can be a tad bit confusing.

Some context... seriously - couldn't figure out the context. Yours is the first post to give some per the BigJerr series of threads. Dare I ask what other site? I did catch "exfreeper... even too conservative for Free Republic"... but still can't figure out much more than that. Frankly, til tonight had never even heard of the name - so the many references early tonight- just felt clueless.

it's supposedly a democratic site, but the spamming over the past months here is a bit tiresome. The "administrator" of the site is apparently a member here, but the person it apparently is claims not to be, so... thus the "I'm not BigJerr" threads and so forth.

The goodnight thing made me feel clueless when I read your post, until I looked on page 2. Explanation of that one is that billyskank always posts a "goodnight" thread. A few weeks ago a few people decided to kick all his goodnight threads to the first page to tease him since he's such a great guy and a good sport. Apparently that happened again tonight, but this time it seems without him present.

And that's the boring truth.

When I logged into the lounge there were four or five BigJerr (? still no idea who that is) threads, and some impish duers had kicked a whole lot of old "goodnight" threads to the top of the page. 'Twas an odd moment in the lounge. Then again, being oddballs in the lounge - when are we not creating odd moments?
