I rented King Kong. ***SPOILER***

The big difference between the original and the re-make is that the good looking blonde chick realizes that she needs the protection of KK to survive in the jungle, seeks him out, dances for him and becomes his friend. He would never hurt her and does not allow other animals to hurt her. She knows this and is grateful.

Then, after they capture Kong and take him back to NYC, she will not participate in the showing of Kong to the world. After he escapes, she seeks him out and they frolick together for a while, having fun, before he takes her atop the Empire State Building.

In the original, Fay stays afraid of Kong during the entire movie. Not true in this one. Naomi tries to stop the planes from killing him.

The new one would be better if the trip to the island didn't take an hour! I loved the huge creepy crawlies.
