I need to vent or rant
No what I really need to do is scream.

I called my pharmacist. Simple question. Has my doctor approved my refill? Yes or no? I got a lecture.

Yes, I know taking huge doses of opiates is not good. My doctor does blood work constantly to make sure my body isn't being harmed.

Taking them isn't fun. Try vomiting every day. Vomiting until you burst a blood vessel in your throat and are just spitting up blood.

I know this isn't good... but try living with pain that makes you want to put a gun to your head and pull the trigger. It's a bargain with the Devil, but one I made. Because I had to.

When you've done these things.... then you can lecture me, sneer at me, look down on me.... but not until then.

I'm a fucking genius and I don't need anyone second guessing me. My doctor is a woman who is simply filled with love. "Do no harm" wasn't good enough for her. She aspired to better.

Between me being a genius and her being a genius..... we don't need anyone interfering.

Sorry. No discussion. No talk. No sympathy.

Khash.

3. That does sound frustrating
but in the defense of the pharmacist, he would be remiss (and maybe even criminally negligent) if he didn't keep an eye on that stuff.

But like I said, I'm sure it's frustrating.

6. That pharmacist has no bidness lecturing you
what a bunch of crap. If s/he wants to dole out medical advice, tell him/her to go to Med School and become a doctor, and THEN research your case file before making any judgement calls. Otherwise, STFU.

Pain management is a controversial subject these days because of the so-called "war on drugs" fought in so many western countries. My view is that if it allows you to live a normal life, then you should be taking it.

I'm on five different meds myself, and trying to withdraw from one of them (yes, the dreaded Ambien). If I don't get my meds on schedule, I am useless to everybody.

Best of luck khash. You have every right to rant about this.

7. Most excellent rant
I give it a 9.5 out of 10. The pharmacist gets a 0.0 for being an ass.

8. I wonder when I will get that lecture
I have a script with referrals for a couple opiates. I have on-going kidney stone issues, nothing as horrendous as what it sounds like you go through, but its pretty bad. I am waiting for my lecture since I use the same pharmacy all the time,as it is down the street from my apartment. Wishing you peace and love Kashka.

12. Your pharmnacist is an asshole. Tell him or her to butt the fuck out of
your business and to mind his or her own.

My pharmacist NEVER comments on my opiates. I'd kick his ass if he did, and take my business elsewhere.

13. Tell your pharmacist to take a long walk off a short pier
Your medication is between you and your doctor.

My mom was on heavy does of morphine due to cancer. It's not party time when you have to take that much just to be able to semi exist. I'm sorry your pharmicist is a judgemental asshole.

15. The pharmacist's business is not to lecture you on what meds you take
It is none of his/her business, but rather a decision between you and your doctor. If you'd asked for advice that would be a different story. Only if there were an interaction issue between some of your meds/supplements should the pharmacist be speaking up on his/her own.

16. Pain is something that I personally deal with and the
opiates that I use, viva being it physically, emotionally, recreationally or psychologically can be many things to many peoples albeit money, religion or sex and drugs

but in the final s
it is you that know your demons and what gives you support, release or reassurance of that reality,
or a relief from the physical or psychological pain you have to endeavor of transference is apparent.

YOU are the ultimate observation of your life for this is a cyper reality.
But as the greeks said:

the unexamined life is not worth living
and this is the hardest thing to do
is to observe yourself.

Or to thy own-self be true

Pain is ...................... a pain wither it is physical, emotional and psychological,

Ignorance is bless
I must be blistered in my own mind
and that gives me pain.

You were meant to be here...you and I are things that stars are made of.........really

does the med come in suppository form? Gross-ish question but that worked for a nenighbor who couldn't keep her meds down.

No need to actually answer this q, btw.

18. I take daily narcotic pain killers too.
I've changed phamacies because of exactly this kind of thing. I don't need jerks in lab coats second guessing my doctor and getting all judgemental about my medication.

I have a pain-management doctor who's awesome. He knows more about the drugs than almost any pharmacist. He's a top notch surgeon. And he doesn't rely on just drugs for pain managment. No Pharmacist is going to get away with second guessing my Pain Management doctor.

I hope you find a better pharmacy to use.
