5. that sucks
Did they have a good excuse? I once flipped out (before we all had cell phones) b/c I was waiting by the phone - we had a scheduled date, I waited for over an hour after we were supposed to go to a dinner and went out myself, only to run into him (I was cold and not speaking to him) later to find out he was with his mom and sister and didn't get home in time to call - it all turned out as an innocent mistake/bad circumstance.

Anyway, don't take it too personally -

15. He wasn't worth it
If he can't handle one date, he won't be able to handle commitment.

Sorry, you'll come out of it fine.

16. Unless he had a really good reason, like a death in the family
he's just a loser. Adults know how to back out of dates gracefully.

17. That did happen to me a couple times
Once, when she got pulled away by friends. she had the decency to apologize. The other time was by someone who pretty much led me on. We didn't stay friends at all.

Did you really want to spend the evening with some guy who was such an asshole that he'd stand you up. Look at it as precious time spared.

One of those unfortunate traits that seems to afflict a large percentage of the Y chromosome crowd.

...which is probably a good thing, before you had too much emotional investment involved.
