Just reported a company for violating the DO NOT CALL LIST

I got a call from a company trying to sell me windows, they were being completely vague about their purpose of the call and the women sounded completely condescending and to top it off I've had a bad day and am in a vile mood. I just made the report on the internet site. HAHA Nothing will come of it I'm sure but what the hell! It made me feel good.

1. Isn't the fine for that thing something in the neighborhood of $7000.00?

I believe I heard that figure from some source, could be way off base

but if they did get a fine like that I would be thrilled!

4. I'm not so sure...but I just looked it up, and it used to be $11,000.00

that is, when they first started to enforce it. I rarely screen calls....couldn't care less, because if it's a telemarketer, I politely tell them I'm not interested in what they are selling and hang up. ( I don't see the point in being nasty to these people, since I'm sure they aren't happy with their jobs,either..).

I told her I was on a Do Not Call List and I would report her company for calling me that's when she got all pissy and said "Well I have your number Too"

6. I received over $200 for reporting a company back in 2004

The state of CA sued the company on behalf of the 120 people who complained. I was shocked and didn't believe it would happen but sure enough, I received a check for over $200 :-).
