He is currently in the Twins bullpen, but is likely to become one of the 5 starters very soon. He pitched 2 innings today, 1 hit and 5 strikeouts.

Yeah Spahn went to the Marriott my dad was waiting tables at. He was a class act and he met Ted and John Henry Williams. Autograph kind of makes me think what could have been though because I was still pitching when he got it for me.

I don't know why he was at that dinner that night but my old man approached him and he signed it. He didn't want to ask Ted Williams because he didn't want to bother him. Really that's the fascinating thing about living in this part of the country, lotta famous people around here. Another story abotu my dad's experience there is just before the 2000 presidential primaries Dan Quayle came to the restaurant and my dad's manager who was a real jackass not just politically speaking but overall was organisming at the thought of Quayle as a nominee.
