I am so bad

1. The old cat is on a special kidney diet food which everyone on four legs wants to eat, the other cat and the two dogs. I can't find a shelf high enough to feed him one without the dogs nudging him to ask - Hey- you gonna eat all that - huh?!?

2. The dogs haven't read all the books and don't know that they're supposed to love their crate. They won't go inside at all. I want to train them to go inside so I can put them someplace when people come over. (Putting them in another room tends to result in frantic scratching at the door because they're convinced we're all out here eating special kidney diet food. It's hard on the door and makes my husband cry.)

Solution: Put the old cat and his food in the crate! Once he's done, the dogs run in to finish up what's left! I'll get them to like the crate yet!
