If you have an old contract that allows you to make free calls to Canada, that might all be down the drain if you ever switch companies and decide to switch back again.
I've had the same Verizon phone for 3 years & was considering switching to Cingular because it received signals in a few more areas than Verizon. Under my current plan, which is the minimal one, I could always make calls to Canada for free, although calls I made FROM Canada would be charged. Anyway, when I went in to Cingular today, I asked them about calling Canada. They said Cingular doesn't allow free calls to Canada and Verizon NO LONGER ALLOWS IT on their new contracts. Because I have an old Verizon contract, I can still call Canada for free, but if I were to switch to Cingular and then come back to Verizon at some point, I'd lose my free calling to Canada advantage. ARggghhhh!!
