Could use some hugs, and sharing some smiles
Hugs, because I had the worst week I've ever had, anxiety-wise, and put myself back on the big pharma anti-anxiety med I have. I'm really frustrated that the natural stuff I was using and my own coping mechanisms seem to have stopped working, and I hate that. It's scary. I just want to be back to normal without having any additives in my body, and without having to deal with side effects. Ugh.

Smiles because I have a great family, a place to live, food to eat, friends to talk to, and a job to work at. And besides, how could you look at this and not smile back?

How was your week?

1. Here's some hugs and a smile.

:-)

It's good you appreciate your family. Wonderful looking people.

It would be abnormal not to feel anxiety in these times. We all feel it, especially those of us with children. May we all know peace again.

2. Aw, lots of hugs to you
I understand completely - I've been off meds for 7 years now but I know that the possibility always exists of needing them again. And when you do, it IS scary. I've come close to death a couple of times but it was nowhere near as frightening as the feeling that I was slipping mentally. Strange how that works.

You have to do what you need to do to stay healthy, though, for you and for those beautiful smiling faces. :grouphug:

 back at ya... the 'slipping' is a good description... like, what is going wrong with me, and how do I make it stop? I'm glad to hear that you're doing ok! :)

7. En route
a brazillion hugs     etc... (Actually in Brazilian it would be abracoes.)

I sympathize big time about the anxiety. I think that if you aren't depressed or twitchy or somehow manifesting this sense of cosmic wrongness, you've lost your status as a sentient being. (Obviously I'm way depressed myself these days.)

19. God damn it, young lady, you listen to me:
There is nothing wrong with having a chemical imbalance in your brain, and needing medicine to correct it. It does not mean that you're weak. It does not mean that you are crazy. It does not mean that you're deficient in any way. Got it?

If you had (just as a wild supposition here) diabetes (for example only), and needed insulin to correct the chemical imbalance in your pancreas, would that mean that you were weak, or weren't working hard enough to overcome it, or that it was your fault in any other way?

I bet you wouldn't.

In some odd, perverted way, I'm almost glad you posted this so I could read you the riot act. Takes my mind off the dreadful night here at casa Redstone.

But listen to me anyway, would you?

I know that, but I don't really know it, you know what I mean? I'm sure you do. It's got a lot to do with not wanting to turn into my mother. Freud would love it. ;) I will try to take that to heart, though, because I know that you're right.

I'm sorry the night is being dreadful a su casa... pain, or otherwise? Either way, loads of hugs for you, because you deserve them.

gosh, we all do. the april moon is my least favorite, i'm so glad it's waning now, it's had me on pins and needles all week.
and if you were doing kava... that stuff can be as freaky as any perscription. i wouldn't sweat it that you need something else. it's not better or worse, just different.

I was drinking Peace Tea, from the Algonquin Tea Co. Google it; it's good stuff. Just a little relaxation to sleep better and not be so anxious! Apparently, no longer enough relaxation.

Thanks for the hugs. What's the story with the april moon, do tell?

32. i know it has something to do with april fools- people acting nutty
in april.... and i've noticed over the years it's always a weird moon for me. i got into the habit of watching the moon phases with my dad when i was a kid, and my brother would watch for the full moons because his work would go insane on them (he's a cop). so i never felt like it was a flakey thing.
but from what i understand each full moon has some connection to the sign it is in (so where are we aries? taurus? i have no idea) i think it amplifies the emotional qualities associated with it-- and it sorta depends on how that works for you.
usually the full moon in your own sign is pretty enjoyable- at least for you. i have noticed over the years that april's moon is my worst, then november's. the rest i'm fine with more or less.

i have to google that tea. i do tension tamer (celestial seasons) now and again. have you tried valerian for sleeep?
i like it alot. it smells like feet that have been up someone's butt, but hey it works!
and kneipps bath stuff with hops knocks me out too.
