many typos and other errors! Perhaps I should have reviewed this a bit more... they're mostly superficial mistakes, but I was pretty worn out when I was editing.
Think I have much reason to be concerned before my defense?

An astronomer friend of mine explained that these are "read errors" which are introduced each time a person reads a piece of text. (Note that you will never find typos in a document which you do not read.)
