what is it? I mean something that makes you lose track of time, something that you just want to leap into, or at, as soon as you get up in the morning and 'can't bear to leave at night. If you are lucky enough to have one, what is it, how long have you been at it and why do you love it so much?

I'm quitting my second career job in a month and just can't stand to have time on my hands. Any suggestions? Weaving on a loom looks like fun (I guess) but a bit much too set it all up, same with pottery. I want something I can do at home and not have to go to a store or place with a kiln, etc. It would be nice if it were easy to learn, too.

Thanks very much!

2. Dollhouses....
When I get started, it is very hard for me to walk away from it. It's hard to find time now days to work on it like I would like, but I am always working on little projects for it.

I just finished doing some artwork...framed photos and paintings for my dollhouse. I love trying to make things myself and not buy premade. There are websites that have printable projects and that is fun. I did a desk recently and left one of the file drawers open a little and made all the little files filled with documents. I printed a desk calendar, checkbook with checks and other papers on the desk. I even did a book, "Windows for Dummies".

3. Gardening
I love it. I've been doing it for about 30 years.

I love making my small place on Earth more beautiful than it was when I found it. I also like being able to feed myself with food I've grown. I like knowing my veggies have no chemicals added & no workers were exploited to produce it.
