What in the hell happened to Paas' pink dye?
It used to be so vibrant. Now it looks like someone used it to wash windows.

1. we got the marble coloring this year
our eggs do not look like the ones on the box. It must have taken highly paid artists to create those eggs on front of the box. Oh well, it is just the joy of doing it, right?

2. We got the ones with the glitter paint
The dyes are not as "durable" as they were in the past. Even after having the egg sit in the dyes for awhile, if one wiped an egg with a paper towel before it had dried, almost all the dye came off.

3. I wonder if they're just cheezing out on us
or if there were some sort of health concerns.

4. I can remember making eggs that looked exactly
like the ones on the box...except for the purple dye, which was always a little funky. We also got weird stripes on our eggs this year. There are two perfect circles around many of the eggs, as if something occurred in the packaging.

Ah well. The chocolate's still good! :D

6. It's not the packaging...
...it's the 'manufacture and distrib' (if I was a female chicken, that's sure as hell where I'd have to pause!)

9. I've even used 2-3 pellets at a time...
...and the color isn't much better--it just grains up.

11. I'll bet you're right...
They probably have a patent on the original formula; but the new one is cheaper to manufacture.
