Poll question: VOTE: Best Chain Restaurant
Which one is the best (or least terrible) and why? What would you order at the one you liked best/ hated least?

5. I don't know if it still exists; they all closed in my area, but Po Folks
easily won it for me.

The chicken and dumplings rivaled my mom's--and that is saying a lot!

And the catfish was to die for.

6. Po Folks also had killer fried chicken. Don't know if they
still exist anywhere or not. My old fave one in Nashville is long gone.

7. I'd add Macaroni Grill
But we don't really go to chains anymore - too many good hole-in-the-wall taquerias around here...

13. I think they stink, too.
My family eats there only when my parents get free gift certificates. And then we make sure to use it all in one visit.

9. Most of these chains peaked a long time ago...
For example, Olive Garden was great years ago. I won't eat there now, because it is almost inedible...

10. I'd be fine at any of those places.
I've never eaten at a Cheesecake Factory, but I've heard good things. I've never been to a Black Angus either, but it's the same as Cattle Company, and I've been there many times.

I know the menus best at TGI Friday's and Applebees; I'd be more likely to go to Friday's because our local one has NTN trivia and bartenders we love. I usually order the Southwest jalapeno burger with a side of veggies (their green bean/wax bean/broccoli trio is fabulous) or grilled chicken with a side of veggies).

Good food...a pretty good menu. The cheesecake, of course. Lots of kinds. :-)
