The LittlePeople Channel?

It seems like 'Little People, Big World' has been on all weekend.

And then, when they finally stop showing it, they show the program about that asshat Jim Bob Duggar and his 16 kids. Duggar is running for Congress again in my district this year.

1. TLC = The Lame Channel

if it isn't cheap and gaudy decorating shows, it's dating shows, marriage shows, and how to have a baby shows. And what the hell is up with that fucking house cleaning show? CLEAN THE FUCKING HOUSE YOU SLOBS!!!!

There was a time when TLC used to be a really good companion to Discovery Channel (itself a quagmire of sheet metal welding and hot rod shows) and The History Channel (current playing any woo-woo UFO show it can get its hands on) ran an excellent series named "Great Books".

Alas that all died under the weight of popularity of Trading Spaces.

Trading Spaces makes me want to be an arsonist.

6. TLC was the REASON I got cable for the first time

My kids LOVED "Connections", and the only place you could see it was TLC..(after its first run on PBS)

And the History channel..before they turned it into drivel..

Of course the changes all happened after the "consolidation" rampage.. The sad thing is that there are few if any "independent" channels these days.. they are all corporatized and owned by the "major networks". This way they can re-cut their old stuff and "present" it as new on their "cable channels"..:puke:

4. Just what you need

Duggar for Congress. He'll be advocating for the abolition of birth control ("let God decide if and when you get pregnant"), abolition of abortion, mandatory knee-length bathing suits for all girls, home-schooling for everyone (can't let radical leftist ideas like science infiltrate our kids heads--the Bible must be the standard textbook), and who knows wtf else. :scared:

just the perfect dessert after the tator tot casserole.

but i have to admit, i am kind of fascinated by the Duggar family. i keep looking to see what will happen when the kids get older and have the chance to be more on their own. what exactly will happen ? will they go off to college , stay home ? will they find some fundie to marry off the girls to ?

even small things that most people don't consider to be "rebellious" such as coloring the hair would probably be a huge thing in that family.
