15. I knew just the mention of UGGs would make your blood boil.

I seem to buy things only to find out later on that the manufacture is leveling the rain forrest. Like Gap jeans fit my ass better than other jeans but since my house mate told me about how bad Gap is for the environment, my ass has been Gapless. :)

The spelling has to do with a U.S. patent to nick them. They originated here, and a U.S. company almost had them banned except the ones sold by said company by changing spelling from 'Ugg' to 'UGG'. We got really angry and had invaded the court system in question until the ruling was overturned. To some Aussies though the spelling 'UGG' is still considered offensive.

Ugg is an old strine diminutive for 'Ugly' cos' that is how they used to look in the eyes of the fashion world back then.
