|
In his "Breakdown" on the short Sportscenter at 10:30 AM Eastern May said:
The national championship game should be played by the PAC-10 Conference CHAMPION USC Trojans and the SEC Conference CHAMPION Lousiana State University Tigers. They are conference champions Oklahoma is not.
I completely agree.

Then again, remember the year that Nebraska lost the Big 12 Championship game, then played for the national title (and got TROUNCED)? Could happen again.

2. Lupica pointed that out on the Sports Reporters |
|
Who knew that Lupica knew that sports were played anywhere else but in New York city?
Winning the conference (if you have one) should be a prerequisit.

8. Nebraska didn't lose the Big 12 championship game that year- |
|
they didn't play in it because they lost to Colorado. Nebraska was still ranked #2 at the end of the season so they played Miami in the natl. championship. That was the 2001 season.

3. If the sportswriters and coaches drop OU lower than 3, then it might |
|
happen. That would only happen if they collectively believed OU should not be in the title game. They probably are number 3 in the country still, but having that ranking in the polls will keep them 1 or 2 (most likely one) in the BCS.

Coaches Poll is in...Oklahoma is #3.
Hell, 8 coaches still had Oklahoma at #1. Not bad for a team that can't come within 4 touchdowns against a Kansas State team that got beat by Marshall.

4. If feel sorry for anybody who plays LSU in NO |
|
Have you ever been to Baton Rouge for a home LSU game? A Sugar Bowl with LSU playing will make that look like a pee-wee game crowd.
It should be USC and LSU in the Suger Bowl. From a sad Aurburn fan - Good luck Tigers (as in LSU tigers)...

5. There's a first time for everything.... |

Mark May was bound to say SOMETHING correct sooner or later. The law of averages would HAVE to bless somebody who is so consistently wrong week after week after week.
When Trev Alberts look smarter than you, you're a dolt! Quit your day job, Mark May.
