Dobrý den! - Good day - I am ba-aack
:hi:

Prague is a beautiful old city. It was rainy and cold most of the time but that didn't keep us from seeing a lot. Except the Jewish Quarter because of our bad timing and Jewish holidays

The food was good (OK, we mostly cooked ourselves) and the beer was tasty as well (I normally don't drink beer, so that means a lot)

I took a lot of pictures (I think 12 rolls of films in 8 days - I think that is record). As soon as I got them developed (I hope by Thursday) you will get to see some.

Any questions?

7. I managed to avoid MissHoneychurch withdrawal symptoms.

I don't think I drove anyone else nuts while you were gone.
I just went for lots of drives. And played with 10 rolls of film from NC. There is one roll in my camera that I still need to finish.

I know what you mean with taking pics over pics of sunsets and sunrises. I thin you have to take quite a few pics to get THE ONE picture.

34. The One ~ more like the three or four dozen great ones.

I am a fantastic landscape and nature photographer.
Plus I took one entire roll of pictures of Sugar Smack and gave her the film.
I haven't seen any of those shots but I know some of them were awesome.

I am 1/4 Czech by ancestry, and my family came from Prague to this country back in the late 1800s. In fact, my last name is Czech. Unfortunately I've never made it there in my previous trips to Europe. :(

I'd love to see your pictures though. I bet they're great!

Welcome back! :hi:

13. I'm 1/8 Czech
the rest is German though (with a bit of Swiss from the other side). My great grandmother married a Czech guy. Her last name was Kurka. My last name is a lot more German ... LOL
My aunt was married to two Czech guys and lived in Prague in the 70s. She was with us in Prague last week. It was great because she still speaks Czech.

I hope my pics come out good. At least some of it. It wasn't really photgraphy weather since it was cloudy all the time (except arrival and departure days) and it rained in between. So I REALLY cross my fingers.

looking forward to the morning threads again.

I was in Prague before as a kid. Not that I remembered much. We all were the guides this time. It was fun to see my aunt remember her time in Prague in the 70s. Where she lived, where she studied, where she worked, where she was hanging out ....

54. I liked it
I love the Knedleki (dumplings). But then I knew before I went how Czech food tastes. Only thing is they like to pour pure fat over the meat. Without that it would taste even better. And their beer - yummy.
And I found this one sweet, called Trdlo. It is a sweet, thin rolling cake. Yummy, really really yummy.

(not my pic)

but I would guess yes since the people who came over there were so boring not to be able to come up with cool new city names :hide:

Prague is insofar important that it has the oldest university in Europe. And it is the city the 30years war started.

That's one of the few joys of my jobs. While I'm gone the work doesn't pile up, it gets done by whoever is covering for me. I don't have to worry about a mess when I get back. But then, I also don't have a decent salary either.
