Jeep Wrangler Owners...What is the origin of the "Jeepin Wave"...
Edited on Mon Apr-17-06 12:04 PM by SaveElmer
When you pass another Wrangler owner it is customary to wave. I have owned mine since 2001, and driven all over the country, and it is the same everywhere...

Anyone know the origins?

1. it's to alert the other Jeep driver that yours is still running
but that a tow truck call might be imminent.

Funny...
But actually I've only needed a tow once, and that for brake problems...gonna pass 100,000 any day now with relatively few problems!

3. I had an 89 wrangler
it spent so much time in the shop I only put 3000 miles on it.

4. And Corvette drivers.
And probably subsets of people who drive other specific vehicles, for that matter. Kind of like being a member of the club, I suppose.
