1. I like it.
Very nice still life.

But ... if that's your wheelbarrow, you might consider getting a new one ... ;)

2. Thanks Wesley
And yes, that's my wheelbarrow. Well, it's the one that was still in the shed when we moved in, so I'm not completely guilty here!

4. No worries.
It's a nice old wheelbarrow. It just looks it has a huge rusty hole on one side - you might not want to transport sand in it. :P

6. Nope, no sand
It was in that condition when we moved in 14 years ago, so it's functional, even if it's got a hole in it! :P

And believe it or not, it works!

I'm glad you like the picture, though. And you know, I don't think it would have the same "feel" if it featured a shiny new red wheelbarrow!

It looks like it is taking hold underneath the siding.

As far as aesthetics go, I like the pic, but I think it would look nicer if the concrete wasn't there - a pathway or some natural stones would make the pic a real winner. Of what, I don't know. missb's online photograper's award, I guess.

33. The ivy does get out of hand at times.
That shed is very very old, and the owners never really kept it up. It doesn't leak, though, believe it or not.

I think a pathway or natural stones would look better too, but unfortunately, there's just concrete right there.

I had not put the wheelbarrow back in the shed yet, and when I was outside a while ago, I thought that it had kind of a nice composition, so I took the picture.

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

55. keep the wheelbarrow-- it's spunky!
I love the composition and attitude (hey, I sound like a hip, NY art critic!), but the color and color contrast is underwhelming which make it look flat.

If you're not a purist (as my photog pals are), use photshop and play around with darkening the hues, especially on the yellow end of the spectrum.

I gotta say, though-- it makes me want a yard to putter around in again and if that was the artist's intent, it is spot-on!

PS-- keep the wheelbarrow-- it's spunky!

59. I agree about the color. Most of that is due, however,
to the faded paint on the shed, and the faded color on the wheelbarrow! It would be kind of fun to play around with it, though, just to see what I could do with it.

a hill....

An Idea my grand "idle hands are the devils workshop" ma had the last summer I stayed with them on the farm.....

69. Nice balance, good composition.

Very nice. Good eye!

I played with it a little bit here, hope you don't mind. I cropped out some of the outer edges in an effort to make the wheelbarrow, and some of the cool angles and shapes more of a focal point. I enhanced the color a bit, too.

Thank for letting me play with your cool wheeliebarra! :bounce:

I re-did it in a sepia tone, which looks really cool, but I can't figure out how to add a .jpg to the end of the picture title. And without that, I can't upload it to photobucket.

That's the shed in back of my house, and the old wheelbarrow that was in the shed when we moved in. It may have a hole in it, but it still works, so what the hey!

I'm glad you like the picture!
